Thanks to all those who have come out to watch me play in Wirksworth and at the Hare and Hounds in Birmingham. I really enjoyed playing some of my brand new songs that I haven’t played live before. The response was great.

My next show is at the Queens Head in Belper on June 14th. This promises to be a great night with all proceeds going towards the Belper Food Bank. Set times to follow soon.

Thanks to those of you who caught my solo acoustic show at the recent Belper Arts Trail. I was a last minute replacement! Thanks to Tim and Sarah at Musicwirks for having me on.

My next show is on Saturday 17th May when I’ll be playing the Original Music Showcase, at the Old Lock Up in Wirksworth, Derbyshire. I’ll be onstage around 4pm.

“Without You” is a very new song, written only this week. But it felt right to record a video of it straight away. I like writing songs in a 6/8 time signature, as it gives them a nice flow.

Here is “Shadow in the Dark” This song is about a friend of mine. I really miss her.

Here is another website exclusive! “All We Do Is Cry” made its live debut a couple of weeks ago, at an open mic I played near Doncaster. It seemed to go down pretty well, so it’s one to be added to the list for my solo album.

“The Golden Rule” has been a bit of a labour of love for me, especially the lyrical content. I’m really pleased with the way this one turned out.

This song is one of my favourites of the latest new tracks I’ve recorded. It was inspired by the Apple TV+ show Dark Matter and the idea that there are an infinite number of alternate realities out there, each one featuring a slightly different version of our lives.

I’m pleased to report that the video for “A Promise” has hit 1000 views on my YouTube channel. Pretty minuscule numbers for the great mega streamers of the world, but a decent milestone for a local artist like me, writing and releasing my own material. I must have got my tags right for this one!
